Yoga with Live Music, Mizmorim, Museums and Concerts
On this week's show, we continue our rundown of events for the new year. If you want to expand your body and your mind, stop by the Sinfonieorchester Basel rehearsal center on Picassoplatz on February 2. Members of the orchestra will soundtrack a 90-minute yoga class.
Last year, we spoke with Michal Lewkowicz, founder of the Mizmorim Chamber Music Festival, to get a preview of this year's concerts. The festival begins this week, with performances centered around the theme of exile.
If you missed Museums Night and still want to save on admission to some of our city’s finest institutions, good news: Many museums in Basel are open free to the public on the first Sunday of every month. Some special exhibits may still require a ticket.
There's still time to take the kids (or the kid inside of you) to Jugendbücherschiff – the youth book fair on a boat. And Swiss rocker Seraina Telli is coming to the Atlantis Basel on January 31.
International bands coming Zurich in the next months include Snow Patrol on February 1; Twenty One Pilots on April 16; and Imagine Dragons on May 29 and 31. Get your tickets now before they sell out!
Our acoustic guitar songs music theme from last week continues – we played:
